Team Kaduna will later today battle Father O’Connell Science College Minna of Niger State who defeated Government Secondary School, Karu, FCT 35-25 to reach the finals.

Speaking with Daily Trust, Team Kaduna coach, James Jatau said will be seeking revenge for previous losses to the team from Niger State.

“We are going against Niger state tomorrow (today) and I must confess it is a tough team. They are a family and we are familiar with each other.

“Last year we met with them in the finals and at the first match they beat us by 5 points, in the finals they beat us again with about 30 points. But we

are trying to make a difference this year. Hopefully our game will be good enough to match them up,” he said.

In the female category, Government Secondary School, Gboko, Benue State defeated Government Girls Unity College, Birnin-Kebbi 51-2 in the female category to set up a final clash with Government Secondary School, Karu FCT who had earlier defeated Government Girls Science College, Bida 2618.

The coach of GSS Gboko, Aker James Terwase expressed confidence of winning the female finals against the FCT side.

“From the beginning up till this moment, everything has been going on fine.

“With the level of training I have given my girls, I don’t think there will be anything like fatigue. They have the right fighting spirit and team work.

“They also try to understand themselves well,” he concluded.
