Ahead of the combined Passing-out- Parade for 66 Regular Course (Army) and 67 Regular Course, Navy and Air Force, slated for Saturday, October 5, 2019, the Nigeria Defence Academy has alerted Kaduna residents on alternative routes during the ceremony.

President Muhammadu Buhari is expected to be the reviewing officer at the PoP, which is anticipated to attract dignitaries from within and outside the country.

A statement by the Academy’s Public Relations Officer, Major Abubakar Abdullahi, yesterday said the Kawo-Mando-Airport road will be busy from 5am to 5pm and advised road users who do not have any business around the NDA area to use alternative routes to avoid unnecessary bottleneck.

According to him, “The alternative routes are; Kaduna Airport - Rigachukun - Kawo while passengers connecting Rigasa Railway station from Kaduna city could use Kawo -Nnamdi Azikwe byepass - Bakin Ruwa - Rigasa - Railway station. Similarly, those plying Kaduna-Birnin Gwari road could use Rigachikun - Kaduna Airport -Airport roundabout - Birnin Gwari road.

“We appeal to road users to bear with us as all arrangements to ensure a hitch free event have been made. We wish to remind the public that only guests with valid invitation will be allowed around NDA vicinity. Others can equally view live transmission and streaming of the parade on the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) and NDA social media platforms respectively.”
