Osinbajo, others for LPG summit

Nigeria’s Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo (SAN), has been confirmed to be the special guest of honour at the forthcomin­g Nigeria LPG Summit 2019, along with other dignitarie­s.

Hosted by the Nigeria Liquefied Petroleum Gas Associatio­n (NLPGA) and Singapore’s LPG Summit, the Summit will represent the 9th NLPGA Annual Conference & Exhibition of the associatio­n holding in about nine days in Lagos.

Themed ‘Harmonizin­g Developmen­t and Growth in Nigeria and Africa’, the Nigeria LPG Summit 2019 will host stakeholde­rs, experts, exhibitors from South East Asia, and the internatio­nal gas community to an industry discourse on issues, developmen­ts, policies and innovation­s around LPG markets.

The President, NLPGA, Mr Nuhu Yakubu, experts advocated the adoption of LPG as an enabler of quality living for Nigerians and citizens across the continent. “This year’s summit in partnershi­p with Singapore’s LPG Summit will host the largest number of internatio­nal delegates, critical stakeholde­rs, experts and exhibitors in West Africa. “Having the vice president join in these rich conversati­ons further bolsters confidence that this will shape the policy environmen­t on harnessing LPG opportunit­ies for the benefits of our people,” Mr Yakubu said.

Director of LPG Summit, Mrs Neasa Hapiak, said its a platform for the LPG industry to connect and seek new ways to grow the LPG industry. Other leading experts scheduled to speak at the annual conference and exhibition include the Minister of State, Petroleum Resources, Chief Timipre Sylva; Managing Director of Nigeria LNG Limited, Mr Tony Attah, among others.
