KADCCIMA optimistic of large turnout at 41st trade fair
The Kaduna State Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (KADCCIMA) has expressed optimism of a large turnout of both local and international participants at the forthcoming 41st Kaduna International Trade Fair.
Addressing newsmen on the trade fair slated to hold from 28th February to 8th March, 2020, the 2nd Deputy President and Chairman, Trade Fair Organising Committee, Alhaji Suleiman Aliyu said over 11 countries including China, India, Morocco and Germany have expressed interest to participate. He said the fair with the theme: ‘Unlocking Nigeria’s Economic Potentials Through Regional Integration’ was chosen in order to identified with the Nigerian Government as the country signed into the Africa Continental Free Trade Area (AFCTA).
Aliyu said, “As part of our preparation for the fair, we have made contact with industrialists, manufacturers, producers, fabricators, distributors and marketers both within and outside the country and have invited them to come and participate at this year’s fair.
“We have also contacted policy makers, Federal Ministries of Commerce, NIPC, Trade and Investment Division of Ministry of Foreign Affairs, NACCIMA as well as the various chambers of Commerce across the country and many other stakeholders to partner in the promotion of the fair.”
He noted there will be a quiz competition among senior secondary school students from the 19 Northern States. He urged the media to give the fair all the necessary coverage and publicity it deserves.
