Katsina PDP ward congress a mockery — Party chieftain

The recently conducted Peoples Democratic Party ward congress in Katsina was just a mockery and a complete deception that portend danger for the party, a party chieftain, Lawal Rufai Safana, has said

Speaking with Daily Trust in Katsina, Safana said many party members were not satisfied with the way and manner the PDP conducted the ward congress.

Safana, who is a close ally to the party leaders, ex-governor Ibrahim Shema and the state chairman, Salisu Majigiri said, “They were selective; nothing like elections. Forms were not sold to people freely. In fact in each ward what you find was one form per each position or office being provided by those chosen after writing an undertaking to bring money back”

Contacted the spokesman of the party, Sani jibia said PDP in Katsina followed all the due processes of the congress as stipulated by the national headquarters.
