Covid-19: Imo govt defies own ban on gathering, inaugurates commissioners, aides
The Imo State government yesterday defied its own ban on large gathering when hundreds of people gathered to witness the inauguration of commissioners, special advisers, senior special assistants and other senior aides by the state governor, Hope Uzodinma. Following the outbreak of coronavirus, the state government placed a ban on public gathering as done across the country.
At the entrance of the Ahiajoku Lecture Centre, Owerri, venue of the ceremony, officials were seen spraying hand sanitizer on the palms of visitors.
