C/River LG polls: 9 chairmanship, 42 councillorship candidates receive APC flags

The APC in Cross River State has handed over its flag to nine chairmanship candidates for Saturday’s local government council elections.

A factional Chairman of the party in the state, Godwin Etim John, who insisted there was only one APC in the state led by him and his loyal officers, also handed over flags to 42 councillorship candidates for the elections at the secretariat of his own faction in Calabar yesterday.

Reacting, the Secretary of the other faction, Bishop Victor Ebong, said the participation of the Etim John group in the elections would be exercise in futility.
