Asenior lecturer with Taraba State Polytechnic Jalingo, Kamalindeen Babando, and three farmers who were abducted by kidnappers have regained their freedom.
Babando was abducted at midnight at his residence located close to Specialists Hospital Jalingo two weeks ago by gunmen suspected to be kidnappers.
Daily Trust findings revealed that the senior lecturer spent two weeks in captivity and was released two days ago after ransom was paid.
It was not known how much was paid as ransom but a source close to Babando family said over two million Naira was paid.

The Ambulance team of the ‘Operation Storm’ Response Team stationed at Eti-osa on Saturday took delivery of a live, male neonate at about 4:30 PM under the Ajah Bridge.
The pregnant woman, Ms. Blessing Emmanuel, a semidestitute, with no home, no family in Lagos, and fond of roaming under the Ajah Bridge fell into labour and delivered the baby. The Lagos State the state two weeks ago also regained their freedom.
It was gathered that N400,000 was paid for each of the abducted farmers to the kidnappers before their release.

Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA)’s ‘Operation Storm’ Response Team was the only available medical option.
“The lady, who has no home or family in Lagos, is from Cross Rivers,” said the head, Public Affair, LASEMA, Nosa Okunbor in a statement yesterday.
He explained that the Response Team was stationed at Eti-Osa, under Ajah Bridge as part of the proactive measures of LASEMA to mitigate against hazards’ that may trail gridlock the area against activities of gunmen that have become a security threat in recent times.
The police spokesperson in the state, DSP David Misal could not be reached for comment over the issue as his line was switched off when our reporter called. following the closure of Third Mainland Bridge.
He noted that the timely, safe and easy delivery of a live and healthy baby boy was possible due to the presence of a complete medical team with a ‘full option’ Ambulance at its disposal.
After the delivery, the Ambulance team took both mother and child to Island Maternity Hospital in stable condition, for continued, expert medical care, Okunbor further said.
