Musa, Ekong, Ndidi 22 others for friendlies against Cote d’Ivoire, Tunisia

The Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, yesterday released the list of 25 Super Eagles invited by Technical Adviser, Gernot Rohr for next month’s friendly matches against the Elephants of Cote d’Ivoire and the Carthage Eagles of Tunisia in Austria.

The Franco-German tactician kept faith with the usual suspects while handing invitation­s to at least six uncapped youngsters, Frank Onyeka, Cyril Dessers, Chidera Ejuke, former Golden Eaglets captain, Samson Tijani, Matthew Yakubu and Zaidu Sanusi.

Rohr also recalled Kelechi Iheanacho, Mikel Agu and former U-17 World Championsh­ip winning goalkeeper, Dele Alampasu to the team.

Now ranked 29th in the world and third in Africa, the Super Eagles will take on the Elephants on 9th October and four days later, will engage the Carthage Eagles, who are second in Africa in the rankings.

Meanwhile, Rohr has put on standby tested defender, Shehu Abdullahi, Ramon Azeez, Joshua Maja, Henry Onyekuru and Tyronne Ebuehi.
