The IGP, according to a notice yesterday from the Director General of the NGF Asishana Bayo Okauru, will explain the security situation in the country to the governors, particularly regarding the FSARS protests.

Okauru said the meeting, which would commence at 2 pm, would also be briefed by the technical committee on electricity tariffs which the labour unions had been protesting against its recent increase.

He said the Ministers of Works and Housing, Communications and Digital Economy and Humanitarian Services and Disaster Management will also be on hand to address the Governors, one after the other.

Meanwhile, President Muhammadu Buhari yesterday received a letter sent by #EndSARS protesters from Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State.

Governor Sanwo-Olu, while speaking with State House reporters after delivering the message, said he and Buhari briefly went through the letter.

He said the president had assured that the protesters’ demands would be implemented.
