Prof. Gani’s good leadership story at Fuk

-

The appointment of Prof. Alhassan Mohammed Gani as the ViceChancellor of the Federal University of Kashere, Gombe State on February 11, 2016, was a watershed in the history of the university established by the federal government in November, 2011.

His administration in the university redefined and reengineered the future of the university particularly in the area of academic excellence, the welfare of staff and students, infrastructure and the host community.

Leading a university is a serious business and a huge responsibility that requires a lot of personal experience and the knowledge of other player’s ability and experience for the university to succeed, this, he brought to bear, which is creating a positive and lasting change in the university.

Service is the rent we pay for the space we occupy in this world, while many men live for their families, friends and associates, there are quite others who live for the society. They dedicate their time, energy, and knowledge to mankind, service to humanity and they remain an inspiration to their communities. Prof. Gani is one of the few. He doesn’t believe in the word “impossible”. He lets people see what he is seeing despite the huge challenges lying ahead. He has continued to do things in accordance with laid down rules and regulations that are impactful on the people, and ensuring effective management of resources.

Looking at the prosperous future he has taken the university to within this short period he has shown that he is a distinguished scholar with outstanding academic and administrative records; a manager of human and material resources.

In less than six months, the fiveyear tenure of Prof. Gani as the ViceChancellor of Federal University Kashere will come to an end. There is no doubt that he has walked the talk and has set the standard at the university, making it a centre of academic excellence.

It is our fervent prayers that Almighty Allah blesses the university with a worthy successor, who will build on his legacies and grant the outgoing VC long life, good health and prosperity in his future human endeavours.
