The National Economic Council (NEC) yesterday directed the 36 state governors to immediately establish and chair a statebased Special Security and Human Rights Committee to supervise the newly formed police tactical units and all other security agencies located in the states.

The new initiative announced last night was sequel to the ongoing #EndSARS protests across the country.
