Our membership has risen from 12m to 40m – APC
The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) yesterday said its members now number over 40 million across the country.
Secretary of the party’s national caretaker committee, John James Akpan Udo-Edehe, disclosed this when the party hosted noncareer ambassadors at its national secretariat.
He said before the commencement of the just concluded party membership registration and revalidation exercise, the party’s membership strength was about 12 million, adding that it has now increased to over 40 million members nationwide.
“We had a membership strength of 12 million. I want to inform you of excellencies that under his (Buni) leadership the APC has moved to over 40 million today,” he said.
The chairman of the caretaker committee and Yobe State
Governor Mai Mala Buni, urged the ambassadors to project the country positively wherever they are posted.
Earlier, the leader of the team, High Commissioner-designate to Republic of Zambia, Ambassador Nwanne Ominyi, thanked President Muhammadu Buhari and the party leadership for their appointments.
