NASENI, Imo seal deal on engineering, infrastructure development
The National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI) has partnered with the Imo State Government to deploy engineering and infrastructure for the state’s development.
Executive Vice Chairman, NASENI, Prof. Mohammed Sani Haruna, said the agency had the requisite skills and manpower to help the state fast track development in renewable energy like solar, kinetic turbine, agriculture, education, housing, transport sector, power and aviation.
He spoke in Owerri yesterday when he led the management staff of the agency on a courtesy call to the Governor Hope Uzodinma.
He urged the governor to take advantage of NASENI’s various agricultural interventions to boost food security in the state.
Responding, Uzodinma urged the NASENI to prioritize states’ technological needs.
A 10-man committee was set up at the end of the meeting to begin process of collaboration to firm up the partnership between the agency and the state for rapid technological growth.
