Army targets 3,000 patients for free treatment
The Nigerian Army is providing free medical care to 3000 patients in Sokoto State.
The medical outreach is being conducted at Sifawa, the hometown of Chief of Army Staff, Major General Faruk Yahaya, in Bodinga Local Government Area as well as in Dange Shuni Local Government
Area simultaneously.
Flagging off the exercise in Sifawa on Monday, the General Officer Commanding 8 Division, Major General Usman Yusuf, said the exercise was meant to boost the army-civil relationship, adding that it was only when the host communities were healthy that they could provide them with useful intelligence that would help them succeed in the theatre of operations.
