Police nab robber with army camouflage
Operatives of Operation Puff Adder II of the Bayelsa State Police Command have arrested a suspected armed robber, Teke Kolokol, in possession of a locally made pistol in Ayama road, Famgbe community in Yenagoa LGA.
Police spokesman SP Asinim Butswat said in a statement on Tuesday in Yenagoa that police operatives also recovered a locally made pistol, eight cartridges, illicit drugs and an Army camouflage bullet proof vest from the suspect.
Butswat said: “A search was conducted in his house where an Army camouflage bullet proof vest was also recovered.
“The suspect is cooperating with the police and he will soon appear in court at the conclusion of investigation,” he said.
He also advised the residents of the state to always volunteer information that will assist the police in arresting criminals in the state.
