Crack in Yoruba self-determination group
One of the leaders of the Yoruba self-determination group and co-founder of the group, Maxwell Adeleye, has resigned from the Yoruba Koya Leadership and Training Foundation (YKLTF).
Speaking with selected journalists in Ibadan on Sunday, Adeleye, who is the
Communications Manager to the leader of the umbrella body of Yoruba self-determination groups, Ilana Omo Oodua, Emeritus Professor Banji Akintoye, said the resignation took effect from July 6, 2021.
According to him, he had also written a notification on the letter of resignation to the registrar of the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), a copy of which was made available to journalists in Ibadan on Sunday. According to the letter, Adeleye resigned as the secretary and member of the incorporated trustees and management committee of the foundation “because the organisation has drifted from the ideologies and focus set up from the beginning to achieve its aims and objectives.”
