Protect us from mischief makers, NYSC charges spokespersons

Director-General, National Youth Service Corps, BrigadierGeneral Shuaibu Ibrahim, yesterday charged NYSC Public Relations Officers to always monitor the social media and ensure mischief makers do not use it to destroy the image of the scheme.

Declaring open the 2021 Press and Public Relations Officers workshop in Abuja, he noted that many people had taken to the social media to spread fake news about the NYSC, hence the need constantly monitor the social media to quickly refute false news about the scheme.

Represented by the Director, Ventures Management, Mohammed Momoh, he enjoined the public relations officers to also communicate the critical role being played by the NYSC in the socio-economic development of Nigeria.

He said the workshop was organised to further improve the knowledge of the PROs on how to manage the reputation of the NYSC and positively improve its image.
