A real estate property firm, Bstan Group, has rewarded some students with plots of land and cash prizes following their exploits in the maiden edition of a debate competition, Bstan Legacy Quest in Abuja.

In the junior secondary category, Ifeoluwa Adeleye from Lead British School emerged winner ahead of school mate, Kelechi Valentine and Khadijah Abdulraham from Glisten International School to win a plot of land in Lugbe while others won

N500,000 and N250,000 respectively.

In the senior secondary category, Adargo Chinelo Nnamdi from Nigerian Tulip International Academy also won a plot of land in Lugbe while Nnodim Purity Chibuchi and Olamide Abisoye both from Sascon International school won N500,000 and N250,000 respectively.

The Group Managing Director, Dr Becky Olubukola, said the debate was organised to teach the students the ethics of legacy and investment.

“Our children are our future and the parents are busy hustling and bustling and they need to keep something for these children. A child that you didn’t teach about heritage and legacies will sell off their properties when their parents die.”

She said 24 schools participated in the annual contest, with five reaching the debate stage.

One of the beneficiaries, Adargo, expressed happiness for becoming a landowner in Abuja at a young age while appreciating her parents for sending her to school.
