Man, 38, docked for raping 13-year-old boy

A38-year-old man, Ade Tunde, was on Monday brought before a Chief Magistrate Court sitting at Ogba, Lagos State, for allegedly having anal sex with a 13-year-old boy.

The accused was said to have engaged the teenage boy in anal sex after school hours in a primary school at Oshodi.

The police said it would not be the first time the accused was found to have been involved in annal sex with underage students after school hours.

The Police Prosecutor, DSP Kehinde Ajayi alleged that the accused sexually assaulted the boy, which in the process inflicted anal injury to the boy.

“The boy reported the incident to his parents when he got home,” the police said.

The matter was reported to the police and he was arrested. He was later transferred to the Gender Section of the Command for further interrogation.

The court denied him bail and ordered that he should be remanded in custody after the prosecutor, DSP Kehinde Ajayi, asked the court to refer the matter to the Department of Public Prosecution ( DPP) for legal advice.

Hence, the Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. A.O. Ajibade directed the prosecutor to duplicate the file and send it to the DPP for advice.

The matter was adjourned till August 18, 2021, for the report of the DPP to be available while the defendant, Tunde, will remain in custody pending the outcome of DPP’s report.

The accused risk being jailed for 14-years if found guilty.
