Cosgrove partners BIPC to build smart estate in Abuja

- By Vincent A. Yusuf

Cosgrove Investment Limited, a real estate developer, is partnering the Benue Investment & Property Company Limited to build ‘Smart Estate’ in Mabushi, Abuja.

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony yesterday in Abuja, Benue State Governor Samuel Ortom said the project was one of the state’s strategic investments in the real estate sector.

Ortom, who was represented by his deputy, Benson Abounu, said the Cosgrove Investment Ltd was chosen as a partner in the project because it had a proven track record of building innovative homes.

He said the state executive council initially wanted to sell off the land, abandoned for over 20 years, but reconsidered the decision when the BIPC found a credible developer for the smart estate.

The chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Cosgrove Investment Limited, Alhaji Umar Abdullahi, said the smart estate would be equipped with modern technology and necessary security features to make every home smart.
