FG pledges to end child marriage, gender-based violence

The Minister of Women Affairs, Pauline Tallen, says the Federal Government is focused on protecting the rights of the girl-child.

She said this in Abuja yesterday at a meeting with civil society organisations working to end child marriage in Nigeria.

the government was working with partners and communities to end child marriage and genderbased violence in the country.

“As the national strategy ends this year, this collaboration is key to come up with a common front to ensure the child right act is domesticated across the 36 states of the federation to pave the way to end child marriage,’’ she said.
