Speaker’s wives donate materials to women in Ningi

Wives of the Speaker of the Bauchi State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Abubakar Y. Suleiman, have jointly donated sewing machines and noodle making machines to women in Ningi Central Constituency to help them become self-reliant.

Presenting the machines to the beneficiaries in Ningi on Sunday, wives of the speaker, Hajiya Hauwa, Hajiya Rashida and Hajiya Bilkisu, said they decided to come together and complement the effort of their husband to empower women so that they could contribute their quota to the wellbeing of their families and the society in general.

Hajiya Rashida who spoke on behalf of the wives, said women were always the top priority of the speaker because he saw them as the backbone of society.
