CAN, NIREC felicitates with Nigerian Muslims

The Nigerian Inter-Religious Council (NIREC) under the leadership of the cochairmen,

Alhaji Muhammadu Sa’ad Abubakar, the Sultan of Sokoto and President General of the Nigeria Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA); and Dr Samson Ayokunle, the President of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has felicitated with the nation’s Muslims on the occasion of the Eidel-Kabir celebration.

The NIREC Executive Secretary, Prof. Cornelius Afebu Omonokhua, in a statement on Monday, said the council prayed that the occasion would be used for sober reflection.

Also, the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has rejoiced with the leadership of the Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA) and Muslim faithful as they celebrate this year’s Eid-el-Kabir festival.
