The Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN) has said it will work with Zeetin Engineering Limited to train and retrain more engineers and technologists on innovative services.

The President of COREN, Ali Rabiu, stated this at the weekend when he paid a courtesy visit to the Zeetin Engineering’s factory for manufacturing vehicle parts and allied metal works in Idu, Abuja.

Engr Rabiu said more engineers could leverage on gaining operational knowledge from them.

“I would like to commend the promoter of this venture; what we travel out to find, we now have right here in Abuja.

“We have issues with training engineers and technologists, but I want to believe that this place will be a good training ground for upcoming engineers and technologists.”

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Zeetin Engineering, Azibaola Robert, while conducting the COREN team round the facility, said, “We have spent around N3.5 billion, and we are still spending. We are only about 70 per cent complete; we still have about N2.5bn investment needed to complete the project.”

Mr Robert lauded some federal government agencies on the funding process, saying, “The Bank of Industry (BOI) and NEXIM have been supportive, though we have not gotten any facility from them. Both parties have been here and they have given us assurances that they are going to sponsor the completion of this project.
