Gombe CP decorates 317 inspectors

The Gombe State Commissioner of Police, Ishola Babaita, at the weekend, decorated 317 police sergeants promoted to inspectors with their new ranks.

Decorating the officers at the police officers’ mess, Mr Babaita said the personnel were selected from various divisions, area commands and outposts of0 the command.

He said the command had recommended the new inspectors to the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Usman Baba Alkali, who subsequently approved in consideration of their commitment to duty. Babaita noted that it was the first time in the state that 317 officers got promotion to the next rank at the same time.

He added that the IGP had also provided uniforms, boots and other working tools to all the 317 newly promoted inspectors.
