Abducted Kaduna community leader’s wife, daughters freed after 2 months

The abducted wife and four daughters of Sarkin Hausawa of Anguwar Azara in Jere town on the Abuja Kaduna highway, Malam Ibrahim Tanko, have regained their freedom after two months in captivity.

City & Crime had reported that one of the wives of Malam Ibrahim, Maimuna, and her four daughters: Aisha, Farida, Zainab and Hussaina, were abducted on February 11, 2022, by bandits.

Malam Ibrahim, who confirmed the release of his wife and daughters through telephone yesterday, said they were released on Sunday around 5pm at a forest in Chikun village in Kaduna State.

He said he paid N7m after selling his only car and some valuables.
