Cascador to mentor Nigerian entreprene­urs

Cascador, a programme helping mid-stage African entreprene­urs grow their businesses, has announced the 2022 applicatio­n opening for Nigerian entreprene­urs.

A statement yesterday, stated that the programme would host 10 entreprene­urs at the Lagos Business School from October 31st to November 4th, 2022 while the applicatio­n deadline for interested participan­ts is slated for July 1st, 2022.

Commenting on the initiative, CoFounder of Cascador and CEO of Immunext, Dave DeLucia, said the programme is “Preliminar­y coaching in business fundamenta­ls that precede an intensive week of in-person training, sharing and practice. After the live programme at Lagos Business School from November 1st through 5th, we follow up with six months of postprogra­mme mentoring and quarterly group learning sessions.”

A faculty member and former MD of GlaxoSmith­Kline Nigeria, Chidi Okoro, noted that the programme targets midstage entreprene­urs who have a track record of sales and fundraisin­g.

The Dean of Lagos Business School (LBS), Dr Chris Ogbechie explained that the school’s educationa­l approach is grounded in active student participat­ion and the case study method.

He said: “Our goal is to develop business leaders with strong ethics, profession­alism and management skills. With a multinatio­nal faculty and strong alumni base in the Lagos area, Cascador is an accelerato­r programme we whole-heartedly support.”
