APC primaries: My chances are high – Tinubu
The National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and presidential aspirant on the platform of the party, Bola Tinubu, yesterday met with Adamawa and Taraba delegates ahead of the party’s presidential primary slated for May 30, 31 and June 1, 2022.
In a statement by his media office yesterday, Tinubu said his chances of winning the APC ticket were very high, and promised to address the issue of reward system if elected president so that party members could get due recognition for their efforts.
Addressing APC delegates in Yola, Tinubu sought their support in his pursuit of the party’s presidential nomination.
In Jalingo, the Taraba State capital, Tinubu, a former governor of Lagos State said, “My chances of winning the ticket are incredibly high and I am very confident. I am sure I can and I will win it.”
In his response to the option of a consensus arrangement by the party, Tinubu said he preferred a process of democracy to choose who becomes the APC flag-bearer.
“I want democracy, I am voting for democracy, one man, one vote,” he said.
