Buni inaugurates APC council of elders reconciliation committee
As part of measures to ensure peace and unity among the All Progressives Congress (APC) family, Yobe State Governor Hon Mai Mala Buni has inaugurated a council of elders on reconciliation in the state.
A statement issued by the Press Secretary to the Deputy Governor, Alhaji Hussaini Mai Sule, indicated that Buni inaugurated the council at the WAWA Hall Government House, Damaturu.
Buni, represented by his deputy, said the council was inaugurated in order to promote unity especially those that they might feel aggrieved before or after the primary elections of the party.
He said, “As much as possible reconcile dispute that may arise as a result of the envisaged primary election in to various elective offices under the APC in the state which out necessarily resorting to court action before, during and after the primary elections.
“Where possible advise on consensus candidate(s) in line with the party headquarters desire to minimize rancour that could jeopardize the success of the party during 2023 general elections.
“Offer any advice the council may deem appropriate that could foster unity of purpose before and after the primary elections for greater success of the party.”
Those inaugurated were Alh. Hassan K. El- Badawy Chairman, Alh.Baba Ba’aba Co- Chairman, Engr. Baba Goni Machina Dep. Chairman, Alh Musa Lawan member, Alh Mohammad Lamin member, Alh Baba Abare member, Alh Goni Sanda Kusur member, Alh Tijjani musa Tumsa member. Alh Yusuf Dala Yusufana member, Hon. Jibrin Maigari member and Hajiya Asmau kabir Kolo member.
Other members were Barr. Aisha H Godowali. Hajiya Hajara Lawan, Alh Mohammad Tela, while Hon. Aji Yerima Bularafa will serve as Member/Secretary.
The chairman of the council Hon Hassan K El- Badawy while speaking thanked Governor Mai Mala Buni, APC and critical stakeholders for giving them the opportunity of serving the [people and the party.
He solicited the support from the people of the state especially party member for the effective discharge of their responsibilities.
