Kwara cult clash: Police arrest 3, recover ammunition
Following the bloody clashes between two rival cult groups on the eve of Eid el-Fitr in some parts of Ilorin, Kwara State, which claimed three lives, the police said they have arrested three suspects.
Speaking with City & Crime, the police spokesperson nin the state, Ajayi Okasanmi, said the three suspects arrested in different parts of the city were undergoing interrogation.
He said, “We also recovered weapons, including guns from them. They are currently helping our operatives on how to arrest others.
Man held over death of co-worker
The police in Lagos State have arrested a 20-year old-man, simply identified as Mike, over the death of his co-worker during brawl, also simply identified as Joshua.
The suspect was said to have stabbed his co-worker on the neck during a brawl following an argument.
It was further learnt that both the suspect and the deceased work at a car wash in Abesan Estate, Ipaja.
A witness, identified as Ayo, said Mike stabbed Joshua on the neck which led to his death as a result of excessive bleeding.
The police spokesman in the state, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, said the suspect was in custody undergoing interrogation.
