CHI Limited to hold Dairy Day confab, harps on nutrition

CHI Limited, the producer of dairy and milk products, has said preparations are ongoing to hold the second edition of the annual Hollandia Dairy Day celebration next week in Lagos.

In a statement yesterday, the firm said the event will bring together stakeholders towards driving national discourse on the health and nutritional benefits of dairy consumption.

With the same theme as last year, “Dairy Nourishment to Support Healthy Living,” the company said this year’s celebration will further highlight the role dairy consumption plays in daily nourishment.

It will also address misconceptions regarding dairy consumption while presenting innovative ways to incorporate dairy into the diet of all age groups for health benefits, it noted.

Part of the activities for the celebration includes strategies to stimulate the minds of consumers and enlighten them on the need to prioritize dairy consumption; discussion sessions to provide insights on the benefits of dairy consumption.

The 2022 Hollandia Dairy Day will raise awareness that will enable stakeholders as well as policymakers to address some of the challenges that pertain to the Nigerian dairy sector. It will also examine the role of dairy in addressing the scourge of malnutrition.

In her remarks, CHI Limited Marketing Director, Mrs Toyin Nnodi, said this year’s celebration is another opportunity to showcase the health benefits of dairy consumption to people of all ages.
