Remo dislodge Rangers to go third as Plateau beat Wikki 3-1

Remo Stars, Plateau United, Kwara United, MFM, and Katsina United all recorded home victories in the 2022 Nigeria Professional Football League week 28 matches played yesterday.

The biggest winners were Plateau United and Kwara United who won with identical 3-1 scoreline against Wikki Tourists and 3SC respectively.

However, Remo Stars 1-0 victory over Rangers was more profitable in terms of movement on the log as the Ikenne side leapfrogged Rangers to move to third position.

Kwara United also had a good day in office against 3SC after Samad Kadiri put them ahead in the 38th minute, Issa Gata doubled their advantage in the 60th minute, Ayobami Junior scored the third eight minutes later before Opeoluwa Olufemi got ‘Oluyole Warriors’ consolation goal from a goalmouth scramble in the fourth minute of second half added time.

In the early kick-off in IjebuOde, relegation bound MFM dragged Kano Pillars down with a 2-1 victory, Katsina United brightened their survival hopes with a slim 1-0 win over visiting Nasarawa United while title holders Akwa United forced Sunshine Stars to a 0-0 draw in Akure.
