Nasarawa Utd sack Team Manager, Babanjah

- By David Ngobua

The Team Manager of Nasarawa United Football

Club, Solomon Babanjah, has been relieved of his appointment by the state government.

A statement by the Media Officer of the club, Amos Eche quoted the covering Permanent Secretary of the Nasarawa State Ministry of Youth and Sports Development, Umar Abubakar, as saying it had become imperative to relieve the former Team Manager of his duties owing to his interferences with players selection and inconsistent results in the ongoing 2021/22 Nigeria Professional Football League season.

Apart from the two reasons given above, the statement also explained that Babanjah’s sack was caused by other sundry issues.

It added that the decision was part of a deliberate effort by the Government to transform the team for better productivity in the future. According to the sack letter signed by the covering Permanent Secretary, Babanjah is to hand over all properties of the club in his possession to former player and Welfare Officer of the Club, Musa Adamu Musa, who will serve in that capacity on interim basis pending the appointment of a substantive Team Manager.

One of the longest serving Team Managers of the club, Babamjah was thanked for his services over the years just as the Government wished him well in his future endeavours.
