Osun 2022: Court affirms Adeleke as PDP candidate

The Federal High Court in Osogbo, Osun State, has affirmed Senator Ademola Adeleke as the authentic candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the July 16 governorship election in the state.

The court dismissed the case filed by one of the PDP governorship aspirants, Dotun Babayemi, against Adeleke’s candidature.

Justice Nathaniel AyoEmmanuel, in his ruling, said the PDP governorship primary election, held at the WOCDIF Centre in Osogbo on March 8, 2022, that produced Babayemi was null and void.

Osogbo City Stadium which produced Adeleke was authentic.

Meanwhile, the leadership of the party is making moves to resolve the crisis in the party by appeasing aggrieved members including Babayemi.
