Ango Abdullahi’s son wins PDP reps ticket from kidnapper’s den
Sadiq Ango Abdullahi, a son of the convener of Northern Elders Forum (NEF), Prof Ango Abdullahi, has emerged as the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for Sabon Gari Federal Constituency of Kaduna State.
Sadiq won with 28 votes to defeat other aspirants such as Hadiza Muhammad and Salisu Abdulhamid.
Daily Trust reports that Sadiq is one of the 61 persons still in captivity after bandits attacked and abducted passengers of Train AK-9 which was going from Abuja to Kaduna on March 28, 2022.
Several publications have reported that the bandits have released Sadiq, but Daily Trust gathered from his father, Ango Abdullahi, that his son is yet to be released.
Ango Abdullahi, a former Vice Chancellor (VC) of Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria, said he prayed and hoped that his son would be released soon.
