The Member representi­ng Ibarapa Central/Ibarapa North Federal Constituen­cy, Muraina Ajibola, has led thousands of members of the PDP to defect to the APC in Oyo State.

The defectors were received by the state Chairman of the APC, Isaac Omodewu, the Oyo South senatorial candidate of the party, Akogun Sarafadeen Alli, and other leaders of the party in the state at the weekend.

Ajibola said he had record of about 18,000 defectors who followed him to the party.

Speaking at the event which was held in Igangan, Ibarapa North LGA, Omodewu said as a leader of the party in the state he had been appealing to aggrieved members of the party, adding that his appeal had been yielding results.
