WELCOMING UMARUN KWABO AA (JARMAN SOKOTO) TO THE ALL PROGRESSIVE CONGRESS (APC)

On Sunday the 22nd day of January 2023, I had the honor and exceptional democratic privilege to receive Alhaji Umarun Kwabo (Jarman Sokoto) and thousands of his supporters into our great party the APC.

I wholeheartedly welcome the Jarman Sokoto on behalf of our National Chairman, Dr. Abdullahi Adamu, the NWC leadership, our Presidential candidate Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his runningmate Alhaji Kashim Shettima. I welcome the Jarman Sokoto along with his ardent political godson, Alhaji Abdulkadir Dan’Iya a stalwart, strategist and serving Treasurer of the PDP; serving commissioners and Special Advisers into the APC family; and I wish to assure them that we shall together work for the victory of our great party in the forthcoming general elections. I wish to also state, for the records, as follows:1)

As a democrat, the Jarman Sokoto is a great statesman, a mentor, a guardian, the lord of Sokoto politics and one of the ultimate deciding factor in any election in the State.

2. Umarun Kwabo’s return to the APC is a return home for a formidable gladiator of Northern politics who has been commanding political loyalty massively for decades. His joining our great party is therefore End of Discussion.

3. This is indeed an indication that the APC’s prospects in the forthcoming general elections is very high.

4. It is also cheering news that the APC has made inroads in attracting PDP members at the level of executives at State, Local Government and Ward levels.

5. I pray we get to the desired electoral destination, as our party’s rank is continuously swelled by gladiators.
