We Will Deal With Parties That Can’t Organise Primaries In Lagos, Says Sanwo-Olu
Lagos State governor, Mr. Babjide Sanwo-Olu, has said the electorate in the state will humiliate some political parties that cannot organise proper party primaries with votes, saying they are trying to reap where they did not sow.
Governor Sanwo-Olu stated this yesterday when he led members of the state cabinet to commission the 20-unit two-bedroom apartments christened Love Gardens built by the Lagos State Development And Property Corporation (LSDPC) in Surulere area of the state.
He said, ‘’We can see in some parties in the pages of the newspapers, to conduct a primary they cannot conduct it, all of them are now struggling helter-skelter and they are looking to sow where they have not planted.
‘’We don’t need to give them the dignity of mentioning their names but in Surulere we will deal with them. I want to thank all our residents. I like to thank you for supporting our government because we know, when election do come out, you will be voting for our candidates in the presidential, governorship, house of representatives and others.’’
The governor who also opened a vocational training centre built by LSDPC in Surulere said the redevelopment of the abandoned land had not only provided accommodation for residents but helped to solve a major security threat in the area.
He said the transformation further reiterated the commitment of his government to urban regeneration and infrastructural renewal.
He commended the two agencies for the collaboration that led to the development.
“The land on which this project is sited used to be a security liability for residents of this neighbourhood. It was previously a massive school compound before the school was moved out of the site.”
