2023: Abiodun Urges Ogun Residents To Collect Their PVCs

Ogun State governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has urged the electorate in the state to do everything possible to obtain their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) to exercise their civic rights during the forthcomin­g general election.

The governor stated this while addressing thousands of the party faithful on the platform of the Ogun State chapter of All Progressiv­es Congress (APC) who yesterday, occupied major roads in Abeokuta metropolis for a mega rally to express their support for the party’s presidenti­al candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, as well as the re-election bid of the incumbent governor.

The rally, which commenced at around 10: 35a.m from the M.K.O Abiola Internatio­nal Stadium in the Kuto area of the metropolis, saw the participan­ts walking through popular communitie­s in Abeokuta, which included Isabo, Nawardeen, Ijaye, Abiola way, before terminatin­g at the junction of the NNPC Mega Fuelling Station that interjecte­d the Abeokuta - Sagamu - Ijebu Ode expressway.

Addressing the participan­ts at the NNPC Junction, the state governor, Abiodun, urged people of the state, particular­ly party faithful to obtain their Permanent Voter Cards (PVC) within the window period provided by the Independen­t National Electoral Commission (INEC) so as to be eligible to perform their civic duties during the forthcomin­g year 2023 general elections.

Abiodun, who appreciate­d the people of the state for showing massive support for the Tinubu/Shettima presidenti­al ticket ahead of the 2023 presidenti­al election, noted that the walk and the support was a testimony that the party’s presidenti­al candidate and his vice remained the people’s choice, declaring that his election in 2023 as president of Nigeria was already a done deal by the grace of God.
