Gombe Gov’s Media Aide Gets Best Spokesperson’s Award

The director-general, press affairs to the Gombe State governor, Mr Ismail Misili, has been nominated as the best spokesperson communicator of the year.

The award is instituted by the Spokespersons Digest, a publication of Image Merchants Promotion Limited, to recognise the most outstanding Public Relations Contributions and Communications campaigns by Organisations, agencies and individuals

A letter addressed to Misili, signed by Dahiru Lawal described Image Merchants Promotion Limited as the most creative PR Agency Worldwide 2020.

It said, “This is to inform you that you are a finalist of the Press Release Category of the 2nd Edition of Spokespersons Communication Awards (SCA) 2022.

“Meanwhile, a panel of judges will announce the winners of each category at the award event on November 23, 2022 at NICON Luxury Hotel Abuja.

“While Dr. Sule Yau Sule, chairman of Membership Committee of Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) is the chairman of the panel of judges, other members include Dr. Saudat Baki of the University of Ilorin; Mr. Peter Oyeneye, a fellow of NIPR, Mallam Kabir Alabi Garba, an editor with the Guardian Newspaper, and Mrs Josie Mudathir, a seasoned public communicator.

“Other members are Mr. Samuel Adeyemi, a quintessential media strategist, Mr.Inyene Ibanga, an expert in digital communication; Mr. Chidi Omeje, a crisis communicator and Mr Kabir Abdulsalam of the Spokespersons Digest is the secretary of the panel. The certificates of excellence will be presented to all finalists while trophies will be awarded to the winners at the event,” it added.
