He said the party wrongly rented the structure irrespective of its proximity to some sensitive public institutions like the government girls secondary school, state fire service, state pilgrims welfare agency and the state ministry of finance.

He said despite all efforts by the board to make the party see reason to relocate, the party remained adamant and continued to operate in the building.

In another development, the special adviser Hon. Anas disclosed that he had filed a suit against the governorship candidate of the party Dr. Dauda Lawal Dare at the Federal High Court Gusau, challenging the validity of his credentials submitted to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

“We found it difficult to logically accept the validity of any of the various names claimed by the party’s candidate Dr. Dauda Lawal Dare, in addition to his alleged falsification of his primary, secondary and tertiary institutions certificates,” he said.

The Obi-Datti Media office has charged President Muhammadu Buhari and the national chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Prof Mahmoud Yakubu to walk their talk on ensuring credible elections.

The statement came on the heels of assurances by Buhari on Tuesday during a courtesy call at the palace of the Gbong Gwom of Jos, Da Jacob Gyang Buba, wherein he said “No election winner will be denied his mandate, irrespective of the party to which they belonged.”

The Obi-Datti Media Office noted that the assurances from the two most critical characters whose sincere guarantees and commitment will ensure for free, fair and credible elections in 2023.

On his part, Prof Yakubu in an open letter to Nigerians to mark 100 days to the Presidential election on February 25, 2023 reassured people that the INEC was committed to credible polls saying “As I have said repeatedly, the Commission’s allegiance is to Nigeria. Our loyalty is to Nigerians who want free, fair, credible and verifiable elections supported by technology, which guarantees transparent accreditation and upload of polling unit results for citizens to view in real-time on election day.”
