How To Make It

- BY OLUSHOLA BELLO,

Mr. Chidera Ejiofor is the founder and managing director of Green Force Group. The group is an eco-friendly energy company with the plan to provide green energy solutions across Africa by deploying Solar PV plants and bridging the gap between what our customers want and what is available from our power grid.

The aim is to ensure energy in Africa is green and very affordable to support its residential, commercial and industrial operations. The Group hope to be a key player in the elimination of factors that militate the consumption of affordable and clean energy in a way that represents equity, costeffectiveness and zero emissions.

Entering Into Business

Ejiofor says: “I was born into an automobile spare parts family and picked a natural love for batteries. I have worked on batteries all my life and it was a life-long dream to be an energy solutions provider. At some point during my career, I decided to resign and focus on my dream. We started as solutions provider for Automobile batteries and Solar/Inverter Solutions. We began to build the renewable energy arm properly in 2015 and the name Green Force was born. The rest is history I believe.

Motivation

“To be honest, history and purpose. I understand the fact that nothing good comes easy and for every exceptional result, unforeseen exceptional sacrifices must be made. This keeps me pushing to provide a solution that can bring some form of change to our continent Africa. People expect change to come from the biggest industrialist but I believe change is a cumulative effort. To be part of the energy movement in providing Clean, Affordable and Reliable energy in Africa, ‘A step towards achieving zero carbon climate goals’ is highly motivating.

Challenges

He states that; “I have experienced all forms of challenges but amongst them all, a few stand out. Assembling the right team of disciples to believe in your vision and trading in an economy with constant inflation due to forex instability.”

Advice For Young Entrepreneurs

Ejiofor believes, “as an entrepreneur, you must be precise and intentional about your vision. You can only get better if you learn from your mistakes and failures, entrepreneurship is a selftaught school and you only graduate through experience. Persistence, discipline and a learning culture will eventually yield result.”

Profile

Ejiofor, a Green Energy Disciple and advocate, has worked in various industries from real estate, electronics, tech and automobile spare parts. The experience as a service manager across West and Central Africa pushed my drive to be a solutions provider and have an impact on the growth of the African continent.

The experience of working as a sales person, technical consultant and customer service manager gave him some overview on how a business truly works. He commenced his push for Green Energy in 2012 while he was conceiving the idea of a battery solutions company which is popularly known as PAC battery. As growth kept pushing his goals, he decided to focus on his energy solutions and drive a certain change in Africa and here he is now with Green Force Group. A fast learner and good team player who loves networking at all times with like and unlike minds.
