Abdullahi Wins 2022 Heineken-KGC Golf Tourney

Ahmed Abdullahi of Zaria Golf Club has emerged overall winner of the 2022 Heineken-KGC golf tournament held at the Kaduna Golf Club.

Abdullahi played 141 best gross over two days to beat a field of other contestant­s to the top prize of the tournament.

In the men category 1 (HC 0-14), Ahmed Bawa from Kaduna Golf Club emerged winner with the best nett137, while Philip Husseini from NDA Inalegu David from Jaji finished first and second runners up respective­ly.

In the men category 2 (HC 15-28), Barnabas Omale from KGC emerged winner with the best 137 nett, S.O Sani from NDA finished second with 155 gross while Israel Adegoke from Zaria emerged best gross with 164 points.

In the ladies category, Jennifer Nwani from WUYEP emerged best nett with 130 points, while Eunice Pam finished runners up with 172 gross while Justina Gideon from KGC emerged best gross with 168 points.

There were other winners in the veteran men and ladies, as well as longest drive men and ladies.

Kaduna Golf Club captain, Engr. Aminu Ibrahim Bagudu and the Kaduna State commission­er for sports developmen­t, Idris Samaila Nyam, commended Nigerian breweries plc for their gesture and appeal for its sustenance.

No fewer than 100 golfers participat­ed in the two days tournament.

With a partnershi­p with Landmark Centre, The Coca-Cola System treated consumers to an electrifyi­ng evening on Sunday November 20th; with an ambiance that was reminiscen­t of a Qatari stadium, as attendees were able to watch the first match of the season through a viewing party that simulated a stadiumlik­e experience.

Speaking on the exciting activation, the managing director, Coca-Cola Nigeria, Alfred Olajide, explained, “Our Believe and Win ‘Under the Crown’ Promotion was the highlight of the year for our loyal consumers as we excited them with winnings worth over N400m, with five lucky winners securing the coveted all-expense-paid trip to Qatar to experience the live excitement of the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
