-

The member representing Chikum/Kajuru Federal Constituency of Kaduna State and Chairman House Committee on Sports Hon. Ekene Abubakar Adams Adams has disclosed that his victory against more notable candidates, who had served about five consecutive terms, is a demonstration of the peoples’ trust in him.

He however reiterated his commitment to addressing developmental challenges confronting his constituency.

Speaking with LEADERSHIP in an exclusive interview, Adams, who was elected on the banner of the Labour Party (LP), promised to use his mandate to raise the bar of representation to a qualitative level.

Adams, who lamented that his constituency has been grossly marginalized and underdeveloped, said he has already commenced work on some infrastructure projects designed to the standard of living of his constituents.

According to him, “my mother is from the south east and my wife is Yoruba. Even here, I am not from any dominant tribe. I am from a humble background my father was a military person… And I have been into professional soccer playing ugboro to international level, after my secondary school. So, coupled with my international exposure and recognition, I have joined politics to serve humanity, to give back to society.”

The Labour Party representative further explained that in keeping to his campaign promise, he has executed a project worth over One Hundred and Thirty Million naira N130,000,000 within the first few weeks of his inauguration without support from any government agency.
