Ifeanyi Ubah dumps PDP for APGA
The Chairman of Capital Oil, Dr Ifeanyi Ubah, has defected from the People Democratic Party (PDP) for the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA). Ubah who was defeated at the primary election that produced the PDP flagbearer, Mr Oseloka Obaze, ahead of the November 18 governorship election in Anambra State, cited injustice meted out on him in the party as his reason for quitting the PDP.
He said his choice of APGA was informed by his decision to champion the cause of the Igbo race which, he said, the APGA platform had provided.
“Unfortunately, having spent most of my political life working assiduously for the PDP and in consideration of the unfair and callous treatment meted out on me despite my several pleas to the party hierarchy, I have decided to call it a day with the PDP,” he said.
