- Dr. Nathaniel Adewole, MOBILE: 0803 8039182 EMAIL: nadewole2013@gmail.com

I usually read your column in Tambari. I have been married for 11 years without a child. My wife and I have gone far and wide seeking solution. Recently my wife became sick and was confirmed to be pregnant. It’s over six months now. However, my fear is the ‘noisy stomach’ and constipation she normally has. She had this problem even before she got pregnant. She said she had complained to the doctor and the doctor said there was no problem – Abraham

First of all, I wish to congratulate you concerning the pregnancy after a long period of waiting patiently. I am also happy that she registered for antenatal. Since the doctor who examined her say there was no problem; then be rest assured there is no problem.

Generally speaking, it is not uncommon for the stomach to ‘make noise’. I am sure you also have experienced grumbling of the stomach; especially when you were younger.

Let me mention that obstetric scan may be beneficial.
