The rainy season comes with grey skies, colder temperatures and darker days, which give an overall feel of gloom. Because of this, many of us resort to the warmth and comfort of our homes to stay cozy. The atmosphere you surround yourself in plays a great role in how you feel; so do the colours. Consider including some or all of these shades to introduce some coziness to your home this rainy season.

Green: Green is the colour of nature and is fondly associated with flowers and green plants. Its soothing effect goes a long way in making the home a lot more comfortable, not to mention the pop of colour it gives. With many shades of green to choose from, you will definitely find one that suits you.

White: White signifies purity, peace and bliss. It is one of the most relaxing and calming shades. Although it can be a bit tricky to maintain and keep clean, blending it with other warm colours can have a cozy feel to it as well. But if you are bold enough to go all out, then make white the centre of attention in your home.

Peach: For an extra feminine flare, instead of going all out with pink, peach does the trick without being too ‘shouty’ about it. A pink shade such as peach will complement the house nicely and give it a personal touch as well.

Turquoise: This colour is quite similar to the colour of the ocean and summer days on the beach. Using this colour in the midst of other bright colours will help do the trick, making your home a haven.

Orange: An extra bright colour like orange illuminates a dull room, giving it a more uplifting atmosphere. The ambiance orange gives is unique, which is why it is a great choice for you to use in your home. PHOTO: From the internet
