“Anywhere you go in Nigeria, you see betting shops springing in different corners and they mostly bet on football.”
“Sports has been given a prominent position in the ranking of interventions in the agency because the proceeds we are generating comes from entertainment.”

He expressed his delight at the achievements recorded by the young gymnasts while declaring the agency’s support to ensure they bring home more medals in their next outings.
“To these kids growing up in the sports will be excellent athletes. They will be famous and their sky will be their limit. The Fund has always been at the forefront supporting the development of youths in Nigeria,” he noted. The Tony Asuquo led TIG team represented Nigeria at the Africa Gymnastics Level System Championships in South Africa, surpassing their last outing winning a total number of 22 medals; 10 golds, 6 silver and 6 bronze respectively.
