I had won­der­ful work­ing re­la­tion­ship with my for­mer deputy - Tam­bawal

Gover­nor Aminu Waziri Tam­buwal, for the first time, yes­ter­day spoke on his re­la­tion­ship with his for­mer deputy, Ahmed Aliyu, who re­signed two weeks ago.

While swear­ing in the new deputy gover­nor of the state, Al­haji Manir Dan’iya, Tam­buwal said he and Aliyu had a won­der­ful work­ing re­la­tion­ship.

The gover­nor main­tained that the for­mer deputy gover­nor re­signed vol­un­tar­ily. He thanked Aliyu for his ser­vices to the state.

Tam­buwal also urged the newly ap­pointed deputy gover­nor to main­tain “his good char­ac­ter of loy­alty, trust­wor­thi­ness and stead­fast­ness” in the ex­e­cu­tion of his du­ties.

He lauded the cor­dial re­la­tion­ship between the three arms of gov­ern­ment in the state.

The gover­nor also ex­pressed ap­pre­ci­a­tion to mem­bers of the state House of As­sem­bly for ex­pe­dit­ing the screen­ing and con­fir­ma­tion of the new deputy gover­nor.

He lauded PDP sup­port­ers in the state and urged them to cam­paign vig­or­ously for the suc­cess of the party’s pres­i­den­tial can­di­date, Al­haji Atiku Abubakar, as­sur­ing that the PDP gov­ern­ment would be truly demo­cratic.
